We welcome new graduates from hygiene school with a relaxed schedule and a great team atmosphere Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, assist with patient assessments, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your dedication to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient comfort will help create a positive experience for every individual who walks through our doors. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental prophies, and periodontal treatment procedures including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and calculus buildup. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and reviewing medical records to ensure safe treatment planning. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health. Operate medical imaging equipment such as a handheld X-ray machine, intraoral digital scanner and 3D cone beam x-ray machine, while adhering to all safety protocols and infection control standards. Maintain accurate documentation of patient visits, treatment notes, and medical records in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Follow HIPAA guidelines strictly to protect patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with privacy regulations. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice. Proven experience in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or dental clinics with a focus on pediatrics preferred. Proficiency in dental terminology, medical coding, and documentation review for accurate recordkeeping. Familiarity with dental office software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of anatomy, infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and medical terminology. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while demonstrating excellent patient care skills. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and experience handling medical imaging and vital signs assessment.
