Dental Hygienist

Overview We are seeking a licensed, dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing various clinical tasks, educating patients on oral health, and collaborating with the dental team to promote overall wellness. Responsibilities Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages. Utilize aseptic techniques and adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment. Document patient histories, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a positive experience for younger patients. Take and review vital signs as part of the initial patient assessment. Collaborate with dentists to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Perform medical coding for insurance purposes related to dental procedures. Maintain sterilization of instruments and cleanliness of the treatment area. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and experience: Previous experience working in a dental office setting is preferred. Familiarity with general dentistry practices and procedures. Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control measures. Experience with medical coding related to dental services is a plus. Ability to take vital signs accurately. Experience in pediatric dentistry is advantageous. Strong attention to detail in documentation review and patient care. MUST BE LICESED IN CONNECTICUT

Proficient in chairside assisting and dental terminology Skilled in-patient care, assessment, and communication Experienced in general dentistry and aseptic technique Familiar with medical coding and documentation review Knowledge of Eaglesoft software Ability to work in pediatric dentistry and handle vital signs
