In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care by performing professional dental cleanings, assessments, and education. Your expertise will help promote optimal oral health for patients of all ages, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your skills in dental hygiene, patient communication, and clinical procedures will make a meaningful difference every day. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth and removing plaque, tartar, and stains using ultrasonic scalers and hand instruments. Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Take dental radiographs accurately to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to promote lifelong dental health. Document all patient interactions, treatments, and observations clearly in electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Eaglesoft Follow infection control protocols aligned with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality at all times. Qualifications Valid license as a Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience in dental office settings with familiarity in general dentistry procedures. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical terminology. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and collaborate with team members.
