• Part-time Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team at Smiles at Lakewood Ranch, a Heartland Dental-supported practice.

In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional patient care by performing thorough dental cleanings, assessments, and education while upholding Heartland Dental's commitment to clinical excellence, patient-first care, and continuous professional development. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories, taking vital signs, and evaluating oral health conditions to support personalized treatment planning. Partner closely with dentists and team members in a collaborative, patient-focused environment supported by Heartland Dental systems and best practices. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, preventive care, and the connection between oral health and overall health, reinforcing a lifetime of healthy habits. Take and interpret dental radiographs (X-rays) using modern digital imaging technology while adhering to strict safety and infection control standards. Maintain accurate and timely documentation using industry-leading EMR systems such as Dentrix, in alignment with Heartland Dental protocols. Support and uphold infection control, sterilization, and

OSHA/HIPAA

compliance to ensure a safe environment for patients and team members. Skills & Qualifications Current Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of Florida. Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, periodontal therapy, and preventive care techniques. Experience with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft preferred. Commitment to patient-centered care with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and regulatory compliance (OSHA/HIPAA). Ability to provide compassionate care to patients of all ages, including pediatric populations. Team-oriented mindset with a desire to grow within a supportive, systems-driven organization like Heartland Dental. Familiarity with digital dentistry tools and willingness to learn and adopt new technologies.
