Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care and possess a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices. This role involves working closely with dentists to provide exceptional care to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during dental procedures. The Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients on proper dental hygiene techniques. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth. Assist in the development of treatment plans based on patient needs and preferences. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations. Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients. Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic health record systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow during procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques. Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients. Maintain instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols. Requirements Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is advantageous. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages. Commitment to providing high-quality patient care with attention to detail.
