Dental Hygienist

Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current oral health conditions Take and develop dental radiographs while adhering to proper safety and infection control protocols Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to support long-term dental health Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting treatments, assessments, and interactions in an EMR system (such as Open Dental) Follow strict infection control guidelines, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to ensure patient safety Collaborate effectively with dentist and team members while maintaining a positive attitude and showing respect for all staff Requirements Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist, with current certification to practice in a clinical setting Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, HIPAA regulations, and infection control standards Proficiency in documentation and recordkeeping, including familiarity with medical coding practices Experience with dental radiographs and related imaging procedures Familiarity with EMR systems such as Open Dental is highly desirable Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate patients and deliver compassionate, patient-centered care Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively while showing respect for all team members Take the next step in your career and join a team where your skills and positive attitude are valued every day. and help us deliver exceptional care to every patient we serve.
