Dental Hygienist

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in various dental procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages, including children. The Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in educating patients on oral health and hygiene practices. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and vital sign checks. Perform dental cleanings and scaling procedures to maintain optimal oral health. Utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosing dental conditions. Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Follow aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety. Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Skills Proficiency in Eaglesoft and Dentrix software for managing patient records and scheduling. Experience in pediatric dentistry and familiarity with four-handed dentistry practices. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control measures. Ability to perform patient care tasks effectively, including documentation review and medical coding. Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred. Understanding of EMR systems for efficient record keeping and patient management. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients and team members.
