Job Description

A well-established private dental practice in St. Augustine, Florida is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join a collaborative and efficient clinical team. This practice offers a balanced mix of fee-for-service and PPO patients, prioritizes quality care over volume, and provides a supportive work environment with a predictable schedule and strong clinical autonomy. The ideal candidate values relationship-based care, clinical excellence, and consistency in patient experience.
Schedule & Clinical Structure:
Monday through Thursday.
Arrival time:
approximately 8:15 AM.
End of day:
typically between 4:30-5:00 PM. Single-column hygiene schedule. 50-minute recare appointments. 90-minute new patient appointments.
Practice Environment:
50% Fee-for-Service / 50% PPO. Modern, well-organized private practice. Eaglesoft practice management software. Emphasis on patient education and long-term oral health.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive preventive and periodontal care. Perform thorough hygiene appointments with a focus on patient comfort and education. Take and interpret dental radiographs as needed. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in Eaglesoft. Collaborate closely with the doctor and clinical team to ensure continuity of care. Uphold infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA standards. Provide a calm, professional, and welcoming experience for every patient.
Qualifications:
Active Florida Dental Hygienist license. Strong clinical skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage appointment time effectively while maintaining quality. Excellent communication and patient education skills. Comfortable working independently within a single-column schedule.
