Full Job Description Overview:
Busy, privately owned Dental Office, is seeking an energetic and knowledgeable Dental Hygienist. Our Company features 12 locations with huge opportunity for internal growth. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of recent Dental Hygiene experience, Dentrix experience is preferred but not required. Responsibilities:
Evaluates the overall oral health of our patients; examines oral cavity for signs of periodontal disease, oral cancer or other lesions, and oral manifestations of systemic disease. Performs oral hygiene procedures in accordance with treatment plans prescribed by the Doctor; these procedures may include: Prophylaxis Periodontal Scaling and Root Planning Debridement Placement of Locally Applied Antibiotics Application of Fluoride treatments Application of Protective Sealants Completion of inoffice or TakeHome Whitening Oral Cancer Screening Educates the patient on oral hygiene care to help the patient maintain or improve oral health. Administer anesthetics when needed. Inform Dentists of possible restorative concerns for future examinations. Maximizes patient flow in the office by assisting with radiographs, sterilization, and office procedures. Consults with Doctors and Office staff to ensure patient experience levels are met and exceeded. Maintains a neat and orderly workplace; performs weekly and monthly required housekeeping responsibilities. Performs preventative equipment maintenance. Follows established safety and health protocols. Other duties as directed by supervisor.
Qualifications:
Licensed and or Registered Dental Hygienist Dentrix highly preferred, Hygienist experience required. Ability to manipulate small instruments, supplies and equipment with efficiency, dexterity, and exceptional handeye coordination State Requirements where specified
Physical Requirements:
Mostly walking, talking, standing, and updating information in computer systems
