Seminole Heights Family Dentistry is seeking a dedicated, kind, and detail-oriented RDH to join our team. Must hold an active license in FL.
Days/times are:
Mondays 8am-5pm, Tuesdays 8am-5pm, Wednesdays 8am-5pm, and Fridays 8am-3pm (Thursdays off). We are a patient-focused private dental practice looking for a team player who works well with others. Hour blocks are given for every hygiene patient. Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will elevate patient care and promote optimal oral health. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on oral health practices, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages, ensuring they receive top-quality care in a friendly, energetic setting. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Take and develop dental radiographs while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs. Review and update medical records accurately in electronic medical record (EMR) systems in Dentrix. Maintain a sterile environment following HIPAA guidelines and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety. Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures and provide compassionate care to pediatric dentistry patients when applicable. Document treatment details thoroughly, including medical coding for billing purposes and documentation review for accuracy. Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a general or pediatric dentistry setting. Familiarity with EMR systems with Dentrix is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Experience with patient care including vital signs measurement, medical records management, and patient assessment. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles is a plus for working with children effectively. Prior experience in dental office or clinic environments demonstrating excellent documentation review skills and understanding of medical coding processes.
