Dental Hygienist palm beach institute of dentistry West Palm Beach, FL Job Details Temporary | Part-time | Full-time | Contract $32 - $40 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Registered Dental Hygienist Full Job Description Job Summary Bunus available for extra treatments, spanish speaker is an advantage Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions. Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure smooth workflow. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Follow strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment that complies with HIPAA regulations. Qualifications Valid license or certification as a Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings preferred. Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for charting and documentation review. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control procedures. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care standards. Familiarity with medical coding, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance requirements.
