Job Description
Job Summary Join our amazing dental team as a Dental Hygienist, where your expertise in oral health and patient care will make a meaningful difference! In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, support patient education, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and safety. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment that promotes optimal oral health for all patients, from pediatric to adult populations. Our office follows a hygiene assistant setup- all of your X-rays are taken, all your rooms are setup and instruments sterilized! We have an established team that will be a great support and make you feel right at home.
Our hours are:
Monday 11-7, Tuesday 10-6, Wednesday 9-5 and Thursday 9-1 We offer competitive pay + bonus based on production. We also offer 401K, PTO and holiday pay. We welcome new graduates! Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Take and evaluate vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to assess patient health status. Interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions. Review medical records and documentation to ensure accurate patient histories and treatment plans are maintained in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support infection control procedures by adhering to aseptic techniques, sterilization protocols, and OSHA standards. Document treatment details accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, dental terminology explanations, and identifying any signs of oral or systemic health issues. Collaborate with the dental team on treatment planning, documentation review, and medical coding for billing purposes. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice legally. Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings with knowledge of dental assisting procedures. Proficiency in EMR systems- Open Dental is preferred, but not a deal breaker. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and medical terminology. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse age groups including pediatrics. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of medical records. Join us in delivering exceptional dental care that transforms smiles!
