In this energetic and rewarding position, you will utilize your expertise to promote oral health, perform thorough cleanings, and assist in creating a positive dental experience for every patient. Your skills will help foster a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and confident in their dental health journey. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and evaluating oral health status. Assist dentists during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and comfort. Prepare patients for treatment by explaining procedures, ensuring proper positioning, and maintaining a calm environment. Manage medical imaging procedures such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories in electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Follow infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to ensure patient safety. Skills Proficiency with dental office management software such as Eaglesoft. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry practices. Experience with pediatric dentistry and providing care for pediatric patients. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care standards. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of medical records and patient information. Familiarity with medical coding, documentation review, and medical terminology relevant to dental practice. Excellent communication skills for patient education, assessment, and team collaboration.
