Overview:
Randolph & Associates Family Dentistry is seeking a Dental Hygienist to join our dedicated team of dental professionals in Bloomington, IL! We serve all demographics of the population, from preschoolers to the elderly, and we operate a busy office with high levels of traffic. In addition to preventive care appointments and scheduled procedures, we accept emergency calls. The ideal candidate will have a calm, reassuring, and friendly demeanor as well as the ability to multitask in a fast-paced atmosphere. Compensation $36+ an hour based on experience Schedule & Office Hours Open to full or part-time opportunities Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Benefits and Perks Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance (FT employees) PTO and paid holidays (FT employees) 401(k) options Free CE courses provided by our affiliated vendors Occasional team lunches and office trips Qualifications Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene required Current state license required 2+ years' experience as a Dental Hygienist (preferred) Excellent verbal communication skills Experience working with children preferred Basic understanding and knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules Current CPR certification required Specific Duties Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling, fluoride, sealants, and root planning Complete a thorough assessment of the patient's teeth, bone, and periodontal tissues, and document and chart any abnormalities or suspected conditions Customize care to meet patient's oral health Educate patients on good oral hygiene techniques Maintain patient confidentiality Provide all care in conjunction with accepted professional dental practices and standards Collect medical and dental histories from patients Chart dental conditions based on dentist's observations and evaluations Create molds of patients' teeth in preparation for dental appliances Sterilize dental instruments and tools Take X-rays of patients' teeth and develop them for dentist's use Provide chair-side assistance during dental procedures INDHRDH01
