We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and motivated Dental Hygienist who shares our commitment to clinical excellence and exceptional patient experiences. Position Summary The Dental Hygienist will play a vital role in promoting oral health through preventive care, patient education, periodontal therapy, and collaboration with our doctors and clinical team. The ideal candidate is gentle, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and confident throughout their dental visits. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental hygiene procedures, including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling, and root planing. Conduct oral health assessments and periodontal charting. Take and review digital radiographs. Apply fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive therapies. Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment recommendations. Identify and communicate oral health concerns to the dentist. Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation. Support treatment acceptance through patient education and relationship-building. Ensure compliance with infection control and sterilization protocols. Create a positive, welcoming experience for patients of all ages, including those with dental anxiety. Qualifications Required Current Illinois Dental Hygienist license in good standing. Local Anesthesia certification (preferred if applicable). Proficiency with digital radiography and electronic dental records. Preferred Experience with periodontal therapy and patient education.
