Dental Hygienist

Overview Dental Hygienist - Part Time Gargiulo Periodontics We are seeking a compassionate and detail oriented Dental Hygienist to join our periodontal team. In this role, you will provide high quality preventive and periodontal care, educate patients on oral health, and help create an exceptional patient experience. Our practice is a team centered, relationship driven periodontal office committed to delivering outstanding patient care in a supportive and welcoming environment. We are looking for a motivated team player with excellent communication skills, strong clinical abilities, and a caring chairside manner.

Schedule:

Tuesdays 7AM-2PM and/or Thursdays 7AM-3PM Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings including scaling, polishing, and root planing as needed Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) Conduct oral health assessments and chart conditions of teeth and gums Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection control protocols Assist the dentist during exams and procedures as needed Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the dental record Monitor and maintain hygiene supplies and equipment Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory standards Please note that additional responsibilities may be assigned Qualifications Requirements Valid Dental Hygiene license in the state of practice Associate degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program Preferred Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Gentle and compassionate chairside manner Proficiency with dental software and digital charting Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality care Familiarity with common dental procedures and patient education techniques Specialized Dental Partners, its affiliates, related companies and independently owned supported clinical practices are proud to be Equal Opportunity Employers. The salary range for this role is $50-$56 per hour.
