Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to promote healthy smiles. Utilize dental software systems such as Dentrix for accurate documentation of treatment records and medical histories. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to foster ongoing health improvements. Review medical records and documentation to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and accurate medical coding. Skills Proficiency with Dentrix. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and aseptic techniques. Experience in pediatric dentistry and general dentistry environments. Ability to perform patient care tasks such as vital signs measurement and patient assessment confidently. Excellent communication skills for explaining procedures and instructions clearly to patients of all ages. Familiarity with medical imaging techniques relevant to dental diagnostics. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, and medical records management to ensure privacy and compliance.
