Great working atmosphere with amazing staff and great patients. We try to foster a real team environment, where everyone is contributing and we are all working to lift up and improve the practice. We have a very fun and energetic team that is passionate about providing care that is up to a very high moral and ethical standard. We are a fully digital office that believes in the latest treatment options and advancements, so any applicant must be ready to adapt to new tools and technology. We are a general dentistry practice with a wide focus of care available Position is for a part-time and soon full-time as the demand grows. New graduates welcome to apply. Must be comfortable with all aspects of speciality.
Hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Friday and possibly 1 Saturday a month Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination Sterilize dental instruments properly Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis Clean and help protect patients' teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride) Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques) Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures Take X-rays or dental impressions Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer) Maintain documentation and charts on each patients Monitor supplies Skills Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA) Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment Outstanding communication skills A patient and friendly personality Attention to detail Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job Diploma in Dental Hygiene Valid license to practice
