  • Part-time Job Summary Join our team as a Registered Dental Hygienist with flexible hours.
In this position, you will utilize your expertise to perform comprehensive dental cleanings, patient assessments, and education, ensuring each patient feels confident and comfortable. Your proficiency in dental terminology, infection control, and medical records management will contribute to a smooth and efficient dental practice. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current medications in compliance with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to promote lifelong dental health Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories within electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Follow strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff Requirements Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations Proficiency with Eaglesoft for documentation and scheduling Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control standards Ability to perform dental procedures including scaling, polishing, fluoride application, and patient education effectively Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to pediatric patients when applicable
