License/Certification:

Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque, tartar, and stains effectively. Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Assist dentists during various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and patient comfort. Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while adhering to infection control protocols. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to pediatric dentistry when applicable. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality. Monitor vital signs before, during, and after treatments to ensure patient safety throughout procedures. Support infection control standards by practicing aseptic techniques and maintaining a sterile environment. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Eaglesoft for documentation and scheduling purposes. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care delivery, including chairside assisting when necessary. Experience Prior experience working in a dental office or clinic setting is not required. Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding enhances the quality of documentation review and billing processes. Experience with pediatric dentistry is preferred but not mandatory; candidates should be comfortable working with children when needed. Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft is highly desirable. Demonstrated understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and anatomy knowledge relevant to oral health care. Strong background in patient care with excellent communication skills to educate and reassure patients effectively.
