Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining healthy smiles, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans. Assist with chairside procedures such as applying sealants, fluoride treatments, and taking dental radiographs using medical imaging equipment. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, dietary recommendations, and post-treatment care to promote long-term oral health. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic policies. Follow infection control protocols utilizing aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Support pediatric dentistry cases by providing specialized care tailored to children's needs within a friendly, comforting atmosphere. Skills Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for documentation review and medical coding. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry procedures to effectively communicate with the team and patients. Experience in pediatric dentistry, including working with children's unique dental needs and behavior management techniques. Skilled in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency during procedures. Ability to accurately measure vital signs and perform patient assessment tasks confidently. Familiarity with infection control standards, sterilization processes, and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice. Excellent patient care skills with a focus on compassionate communication, active listening, and education. From $1,234.00 per hour
