In this energetic and rewarding position, you will utilize your expertise to perform thorough dental cleanings, patient assessments, and education while ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for every patient. Your skills in dental terminology, infection control, and medical records management will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence. We are seeking a motivated professional eager to make a difference in our patients' lives through compassionate care and technical proficiency. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, ex: Dentrix Ascend Follow strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination and ensure safety for patients and staff. Support the dental team with medical imaging procedures, taking radiographs as needed while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice. Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry preferred. Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and understanding of anatomy related to oral health. Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures within a dental clinic setting.
