The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in various dental procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control, and patient assessment to ensure optimal oral health for our patients. Responsibilities Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations using appropriate techniques and tools. Assess patients' oral health by reviewing medical histories and performing vital signs checks. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist dentists during procedures through chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for patient management and documentation review. Perform medical imaging as required, ensuring quality and accuracy in diagnostic processes. Implement aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure a safe environment for patients. Stay updated on advancements in pediatric dentistry, general dentistry, and dental office practices. Skills Proficient in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge. Experience with pediatric dentistry is preferred, including working with children in a clinical setting. Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Familiarity with medical coding and documentation review processes. Ability to work effectively within a team while providing exceptional patient care. Previous experience in a dental clinic or office environment is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial for effective communication within the healthcare team.
