Overview We are seeking a skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant general and pediatric dental office. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental hygiene, with a focus on patient education, preventive care, and maintaining optimal oral health. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse patient populations, including children, in a dynamic clinical setting. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to promote oral health and prevent disease. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, dietary habits, and preventive measures tailored to individual needs. Assist with chairside procedures such as applying sealants, fluoride treatments, and taking dental radiographs using medical imaging equipment. Maintain accurate documentation of patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office protocols. Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed through aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures. Collaborate with the dental team to facilitate efficient workflow using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Qualifications Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current state licensure. No Experience Necessary - We are willing to train Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding practices. Familiarity with dental office software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of infection control protocols, anatomy, and aseptic techniques. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse age groups. Experience with , vital signs measurement, and medical imaging is preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and proper management of medical records within a dental practice environment.
