As we continue to grow, we are seeking a passionate and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our close-knit, supportive team. At our practice, we value quality over speed and teamwork over hierarchy. You will have one full hour with each new patient, allowing you to build meaningful relationships and provide personalized, unrushed care. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and reviewing medical records to ensure safe treatment plans. Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Take medical imaging such as X-rays Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term dental health. Maintain infection control standards by practicing aseptic techniques and adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Document all procedures accurately Support pediatric dentistry cases with specialized care tailored for children, fostering a positive experience for young patients. Review documentation thoroughly for accuracy, ensuring compliance with dental terminology and healthcare regulations. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice. Experience working in pediatric dentistry or pediatric-focused practices is a plus. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately and professionally.
