Registered Dental Hygienist

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while promoting oral health. This position requires expertise in various dental procedures and a strong commitment to patient care. This job would require working at both the Lewiston and Farmington offices. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients. Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care. Operate dental imaging equipment for diagnostic purposes, ensuring high-quality medical imaging results. Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment. Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care and support general dentistry practices. Stay updated on dental terminology, medical coding, and documentation review processes. Qualifications Maine RDH License Proven experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred, with familiarity in using Dentrix is a plus, but not required. Strong knowledge of anatomy, infection control practices, and both pediatric and adult dentistry is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care. Understanding of dental and medical terminology and the ability to review documentation effectively. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
