In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care by providing thorough dental cleanings and patient education. Your expertise will help ensure our patients enjoy healthy smiles and positive experiences in a welcoming environment. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to promoting optimal oral health through compassionate care and professional excellence. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support infection control standards by sterilizing instruments, managing dental supplies, and maintaining a sterile environment in accordance with OSHA guidelines. Experience Previous experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a general dentistry setting is highly preferred. Proficiency with dental office software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is advantageous. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and documentation review is essential for accurate recordkeeping. Experience with scaling and root planing Proficiency in sharpening instruments Strong understanding of infection control practices and HIPAA compliance ensures safe patient care environments.
Pay:
$48.00 - $50.00 per hour
