We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in various dental procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, infection control protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health. Maintain accurate medical records and document patient care in the electronic health record system. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist dentists during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficient workflow. Monitor and record vital signs as needed to ensure patient safety during treatments. Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment. Utilize dental software systems, including Dentrix, for scheduling appointments and managing patient information. Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care and support. Qualifications Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and dental procedures. Experience in a dental office setting is preferred but not required. Familiarity with infection control practices and protocols. Proficient in using dental software systems; experience with Dentrix is a plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with patients of all ages. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills in managing patient records and care. Ability to assist effectively during various dental procedures while ensuring patient comfort.
