Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to maintain optimal oral health for patients of all ages. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans. Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Denticon or Dentrix. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care strategies, and the importance of regular dental visits. Enter treatment and order treatment as instructed by dentist Review and document medical records accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality. Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques, sterilization procedures, and proper handling of dental instruments. Qualifications Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current state licensing requirements. Proven experience in general dentistry. Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and understanding of anatomy relevant to oral health. Experience using EMR systems such as Denticon or Dentrix for documentation review and medical coding. Strong knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate clearly.

Pay:

$42.00 - $45.00 per hour
