Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated, skilled and motivated Dental Hygienist to join our periodontal practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a commitment to promoting oral health. This role involves working closely with patients, to provide exceptional periodontal services in a friendly and professional environment. The most up-to-date technology is available to elevate our patients' care including digital radiographs, CBCT and cloud-based dental software (remote access). Responsibilities Thorough periodontal cleanings using ultrasonic or cavitron, hand instrumentation & air polishing. Candidate must be able to deliver local anesthetic & perform scaling and root planing. Patients are often sedated during these procedures. Assist in the development of individualized patient care plans based on assessments during periodic and comprehensive exams Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain accurate patient records using dental software Adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff. Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies. Experience A valid Dental Hygienist license is required. Experience in a busy general dentistry or periodontal setting is highly desirable. Experience in periodontal charting, local anesthetic and SRPs Proficiency with paperless chart notes. Knowledge of infection control standards and patient care best practices is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients are crucial for success in this role. Periodontal hygienists are special! They treat disease & maintain it. Patient's become lifelong family & appreciate the expertise.
