The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, infection control procedures, and the ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced environment.
Days/Hours:
Tuesday, 9:00 AM-7:00 PM, and Saturdays, 9:00 AM-1:00 PM (every week or every other week, depending on availability). Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist in the management of infection control protocols within the office. Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans for patients, including referrals for specialized care when necessary. Utilize Eaglesoft software for patient management and record keeping. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities. Qualifications Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Strong knowledge of anatomy, dental office systems, and general dentistry practices. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus. Experience with medical coding is advantageous but not required. Proficient understanding of infection control standards and procedures. Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient information as per HIPAA guidelines. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
