Wage:

Starting at $45/hour; starting wage is negotiable based on experience.

Qualifications:

Must be a licensed Dental Hygienist in the state of Minnesota. Must have a valid and current Dental Hygienist license. Associate degree or higher in dental hygiene from an accredited institution.

Requirements:

Must be available to work during the clinic's hours of operation: Monday to Thursday from 8:45AM-6:00PM. May be required to occasional assist on surgical and/or dental appointments that are scheduled outside of clinic hours. Work with clinical team to effectively manage daily patient flow. Develop a strong working relationship with the dentist/staff and promote teamwork through cooperative collaboration and professionalism. Ability to multitask with minimal direction; utilize experience and judgment to efficiently plan and accomplish work goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Must be able to perform all duties within the scope of practice established by regulations and rules of the State of Minnesota and the Minnesota Board of Dentistry that the dentist(s) delegates. Provide comprehensive dental care with a focus on the patient's individualized oral health needs. Perform periodic examinations and assessments. Complete debridement, prophylaxis, and nonsurgical periodontal therapy; place subgingival medicaments. Perform preliminary and existing charting of the oral cavity and surrounding structures. Create a dental hygiene treatment plan in conjunction with the dentist's treatment plan. Apply topical medications including fluoride varnishes, caries prevention medications and desensitizing agents. Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, operatory and x-ray rooms. Maintain a clean work environment and dental equipment in compliance with Moua Family Dentistry, OSHA and Center for Disease Control sterilization and infection control regulatory standards. Ensure quality patient service through effective communication, personal attention to patient procedures, and resolving patient questions and issues in a caring manner. Demonstrate support for the clinic's business goals and revenue objectives by utilizing time effectively.
