Schedule:
Part time OR full-time available M-Thursday 8-3, Fridays 8-1 - Schedule can be adjusted for a later start time if you want, but most days we finish by 3 pm. Vacation time requests easy to accomodate! Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and reviewing medical records to ensure safe treatment planning Take NOMAD handheld digital X-rays while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Must be able to take FMX in 5-10 minutes Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, medical records, and dental terminology in electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality Ability to apply fluoride varnishes and other preventative treatments Requirements Valid MN state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice in a clinical setting Active CPR license Proven experience working in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments with strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy Proficiency with Open Dental or quickness to learn program We use OVERJET for notes, makes note taking easier Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures within a dental clinic setting Ability to perform patient care tasks including vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and chairside assisting efficiently Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices if working with children or adolescents in a pediatric-focused practice Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively while maintaining professionalism and compassion Join us in creating healthier smiles every day!
