Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will elevate patient care and promote oral health excellence! In this vital role, you will deliver comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on optimal oral hygiene practices, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to ensure optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental conditions to tailor personalized care plans. Take X-rays while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques. Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) like Open Dental accurately, ensuring proper documentation review and data entry. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health. Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of all patient information while supporting compliance with healthcare standards. Requirements Valid dental hygiene license in accordance with state regulations. Proficiency in dental terminology, and documentation review processes. Strong knowledge of anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice. Experience with EMR systems such as Open Dental is highly desirable. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate clearly. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
