The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, excellent clinical skills, and a thorough understanding of dental procedures and hygiene practices. As a vital member of our dental practice, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive oral health services, educating patients on proper dental hygiene, and supporting the overall efficiency of our office. Your expertise will help ensure that patients receive the highest standard of care in a welcoming and safe environment. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and root planing Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, taking vital signs, and evaluating oral health status. Assist in diagnosing dental conditions through the use of imaging and clinical examinations. Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to individual needs. Manage and update electronic medical records (EMR) system with accurate documentation of treatment plans and patient interactions. Follow infection control protocols in accordance with OSHA regulations and industry standards to maintain a sterile environment. Review patient records for completeness and accuracy Participate in ongoing training related to infection control, new dental technologies, and best practices in patient care. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice. Nitrous oxide monitoring certification. BLS certification. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about oral health practices while demonstrating empathy and professionalism. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality.
