Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on oral health practices, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a welcoming environment that encourages patient trust and satisfaction. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and reviewing medical records to ensure safe and effective treatment. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong oral health habits. Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort. Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while following infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Maintain accurate documentation of patient visits, treatment notes, and medical records in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and maintaining confidentiality at all times. Experience Prior experience working in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical coding standards. Experience performing chairside assisting duties alongside dentists during various procedures. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus for working with young patients effectively. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, and documentation review processes to ensure compliance. Active Missouri Dental Hygienist License (RDH) Current CPR/BLS Certification Strong communication and patient-care skills
