Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral health care! In this energetic role, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining healthy smiles, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your expertise will help foster a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and confident in their dental journey. We are committed to empowering our hygienists with the tools and support needed to excel and grow professionally. We are looking for a fill in/part time hygienist. The day/s you work can be flexible. Our hours are M-W 8:00am - 5:00pm, and Th 8:00am - 2:00pm Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring optimal patient comfort and safety. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and adherence to infection control protocols. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix. Uphold strict infection control standards through aseptic techniques, sterilization procedures, and adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification. Proven experience in general dentistry with a strong background in dental terminology, medical coding, and documentation review. Proficiency with EMR systems; familiarity with Dentrix is a plus. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable. Strong understanding of infection control practices, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively while demonstrating compassion and professionalism.
