Job Overview Join our dynamic team at Northern Lights Laser Dentistry in Whitefish MT as a Registered Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on oral health, and support the overall patient experience. Your expertise will help promote healthy smiles and foster lasting relationships with patients of all ages. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations. Assist the dentist during examinations. Take dental radiographs while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Review medical records, document findings accurately in Curve while in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures, with dental terminology expertise. Maintain infection control standards by sterilizing instruments, managing dental supplies, and practicing proper aseptic techniques. Assist with administrative tasks like scheduling appointments, reviewing documentation for accuracy, and supporting medical coding processes when necessary. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice. Proven experience in general dentistry or dental clinic environments. Proficiency with Curve dental software to provide proper documentation, scheduling and treatment planning. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical terminology. Ability to perform vital signs assessment accurately and handle medical imaging equipment safely. Familiarity with EMR systems, medical coding practices, and HIPAA compliance standards. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a team environment. $48.00 - $52.00 per hour
