We opened in June 2024 and are excited to continue growing! We are seeking a part-time dental hygienist to join our dental team and help us provide high-quality care to our patients. The schedule will consist of a single column of patients, allowing you to focus on delivering personalized care. We are looking for someone who is motivated, compassionate, positive, energetic, eager to learn, and a true team player. This position is 1-2 days per week, with flexibility in scheduling and choice of days. If you're looking for a supportive, relationship-focused practice where you can make a difference, we would love to meet you! Responsibilities of the Hygienist In this highly valued role, you will:
- Routine prophylaxis
- Scaling and Root Planing
- Periodontal Maintenance
- Periodontal charting
- Fluoride application
- Sealant application
- Chart existing and proposed treatment
- Ensure our patients are comfortable and prepared for treatment
- Keeping accurate records and notes
- Take digital x-rays
- Take intraoral photos
- Sterilize instruments
- Educate patients on their oral health needs
- Perform some administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and maintaining medical records
- Keep workspace and office clean and well-stocked
- Promote a positive patient experience
- Foster an upbeat team environment Qualifications of the Dental Hygienist
- Valid Registered Dental Hygienist dental license from accredited dental hygiene school
- Experience preferred
- Current x-ray certification (required)
- Current CPR certification (required)
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health and safety regulations
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Attention to detail, well-organized, reliable
