We're seeking a compassionate, patient-focused Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our dental team. If you're passionate about preventive care, patient education, and making a meaningful impact in your community, we'd love to meet you. As a valued member of our clinical team, you'll work alongside dentists, dental assistants, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality oral healthcare in a supportive, collaborative environment. What You'll Do
  • Perform dental cleanings and periodontal assessments.
  • Examine teeth, gums, head, and neck for signs of oral disease.
  • Obtain and review medical histories and update patient records.
  • Take and expose dental radiographs.
  • Apply fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive therapies.
  • Administer local anesthetic as permitted under North Carolina law.
  • Remove sutures and polish restorations when appropriate.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, disease prevention, and post-treatment care.
  • Assist dentists during examinations and treatment as needed.
  • Make impressions for study models.
  • Participate in community outreach and oral health education programs.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow all infection control and safety standards. Qualifications Required
  • Associate degree or higher from an accredited Dental Hygiene program.
  • Current North Carolina Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in good standing.
  • Current certification to expose dental radiographs.
  • Strong clinical, communication, and patient education skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency and experience with electronic dental records.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Preferred
  • One or more years of clinical dental hygiene experience.
  • Experience working in a community health center, public health, or general dentistry practice.

  • Full-time Physical Requirements This position requires frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements.
Candidates must possess excellent manual dexterity, visual acuity, and the ability to safely perform clinical dental hygiene procedures. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required.
