We are looking for a Dental Hygienist who is compassionate, thorough, dependable, and excited to be part of a team that truly cares about the patient experience. Position Summary We are seeking a Dental Hygienist to join our growing team. This position may be full-time or part-time, depending on the right fit. Whether you are experienced or a newer graduate, this is a great opportunity for someone who wants to provide thoughtful, personalized hygiene care in a supportive private practice setting. Our hygienists play an important role in helping patients understand their oral health, feel comfortable during their visits, and stay on track with preventive care. Key Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, periodontal maintenance, scaling, and root planing as needed Complete oral health assessments, periodontal charting, and screenings Take dental x-rays and intraoral images as needed Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, periodontal health, and recommended dental tools Apply fluoride treatments and sealants when appropriate Communicate patient findings clearly with the doctor and clinical team Support individualized care planning with the dentist Maintain accurate and thorough patient records Follow all infection control, OSHA, and safety protocols Help create a calm, comfortable, and positive experience for patients Qualifications Current Dental Hygienist license in North Carolina Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program Experience preferred, but not required; new graduates are welcome to apply Excellent communication skills and a warm, patient-focused approach Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality care Dependable, team-oriented, and professional Experience with dental software is a plus Benefits Competitive pay starting at $45.00+ per hour, based on experience and skill level Performance-based incentives 401(k) with employer matching and profit sharing Paid time off Holiday pay Dental benefit Health insurance Professional development support Employee discounts Supportive, respectful team culture Schedule & Opportunities We are currently offering full-time and part-time opportunities with consistent daytime hours. Our office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with every other Friday off through the summer. No evenings or weekends are required. Our hygiene schedule is designed to support quality care and a comfortable patient experience. Standard hygiene patients are allotted 1 hour, new patient hygiene visits are allotted 1.5 hours, and scaling and root planing time is scheduled based on each patient's individual needs.
