Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, with expertise in preventive dental services, patient assessment, and maintaining optimal oral health. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality dental care, supporting general dentistry procedures, and fostering a comfortable environment for patients of all ages. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to promote oral health and prevent disease. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and reviewing medical records to inform treatment plans. Operate medical imaging equipment such as digital X-rays while adhering to safety protocols and infection control standards. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, treatment options, and preventive care strategies. Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical coding in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and managing sensitive information appropriately. Follow aseptic techniques and infection control procedures to maintain a sterile environment within the dental clinic. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth clinic operations and uphold high standards of patient care. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice clinically. Proficiency in dental office software such as Eaglesoft for scheduling, documentation review, and medical records management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse age groups including pediatrics. Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and ensuring patient confidentiality at all times.
