In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering exceptional patient care by providing thorough dental cleanings, patient education, and preventive treatments. Your expertise will help promote optimal oral health and ensure a positive, comfortable experience for every patient. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, friendly environment where your skills make a real difference in patients' lives. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies Assist with chairside procedures such as taking dental radiographs (medical imaging), applying sealants, and fluoride treatments Maintain accurate and detailed medical and dental records in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Follow strict infection control protocols, including aseptic technique and sterilization procedures, to ensure patient safety Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants using four-handed dentistry techniques to streamline procedures and enhance efficiency Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice Proven experience in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or both, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry preferred Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and medical coding Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control standards, HIPAA regulations, and medical terminology Ability to perform patient care tasks confidently while demonstrating excellent communication skills Experience with medical records management and documentation review to ensure compliance with healthcare standards Knowledge of EMR systems and proficiency in medical imaging techniques is highly desirable Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to improving oral health through expert care and compassionate service!
