Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-time Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care through thorough cleanings, assessments, and education while maintaining the highest standards of infection control and documentation. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments including vital signs, medical history review, and dental examinations. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and treatment plans tailored to their needs. Assist with chairside procedures in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings using four-handed dentistry techniques. Maintain accurate and detailed medical and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and appointment scheduling. Follow strict infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to ensure patient safety. Qualifications Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the state of practice. Proven experience working in dental clinics or dental offices with familiarity in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control standards. Experience with pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively. Knowledge of medical coding and documentation review processes is advantageous. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
