Associate's degree Full Job Description We're looking for a registered dental hygienist to join our growing team! You'll complete initial patient screenings, conduct dental cleanings, and assist dentists with examinations and procedures. Compensation:
$56 - $60 hourly
Responsibilities:
Use x-ray machines to take photos of the patients' teeth so the dentist can clearly identify cavities or other oral health issues Remove plaque and apply fluoride or other sealants to prevent cavities and tooth decay Put patients at ease by talking with them before, during, and after the appointment Advise patients on how to properly care for their teeth after a procedure or operation Record any changes to the patient's health history and document the ongoings of each appointment Cleaning teeth by removing plaque, tartar, and stains Examining patients for signs of oral diseases such as cavities or gum disease Taking dental X-rays Applying preventive treatments like fluoride and sealants Educating patients about proper brushing, flossing, diet, and oral hygiene habits Recording patient medical histories and treatment notes Using and sterilizing dental instruments and equipment Monitoring patient comfort and safety during appointments Scheduling follow-up care or recommending further treatment
Qualifications:
Certified to perform CPR Licensed to practice as a dental hygienist in the state Capable of standing all day to assist patients Bachelor's degree or master's degree in registered dental hygiene program preferred, associate's degree required Understands HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines About Company We provide all dental services, including cosmetic dentistry, crowns, bridges, root canals, extractions, implants, fillings, cleanings, deep cleaning, Zoom whitening, retainers, mouth guards, and veneers. We use ultrasonic scalers, digital x-rays, intraoral cameras, electric handpieces, panoramic x-rays, prophy jet polishers, and noise-cancelling headphones. We provide excellent service and care to make the patient feel comfortable.
