Career Growth and Development OpportunitiesKey Responsibilities:

Perform hygiene clinical procedures, including oral prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, sealants, fluoride, oral cancer screenings and x-raysEducate patients on the importance of oral hygiene, as well as instructions and demonstrations of effective oral hygiene methodsCommunicate with doctor where there are opportunities in patients for restorative and/or periodontal needsObtain and review dental history and/or records from patient (review patient health history and care slips) and ensure health history is updated for all returning patientsQualificationsDegree or certificate in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program and a valid state licenseX-Ray/Radiology Certification where state regulations specifyLocal Anesthesia/Nitrous Oxide certification where state regulations specifyAdditional informationWe provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws. Working Environment & Physical RequirementsThis is a clinical working environment where potential exposure to hazardous waste and blood-borne pathogens is possible. Requires prolonged periods of standing, sitting, leaning, and bending up to 8 hours a day. Will be required to carry, transport, and use tools and equipment. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
