Duties include performing different dental procedures, such as pulling teeth, drilling and filling cavities, performing dental exams, and helping patients learn about how to maintain their oral hygiene Use a variety of equipment, such as mouth mirrors, forceps, scalpels, X-ray machines, drills, probes, and brushes. FQHC patients are typically Medicaid patients, health insurance marketplace patients, and the uninsured. Many patients have not had routine dental care for much of their lives, and are usually very appreciative of treatment and counseling.
