Job Description
Hudson Family & Cosmetic Dentistry is looking for a Part Time Registered Dental Hygeinist (Experience Preferred) to join our Team in our well established, low stress office in the scenic and historic river town of Hudson, NY! This is a rare opportunity as staff rarely leaves except for retirement! We are looking for someone willing to start at 2 or 3 days per week on Tues, Wed, or Thurs from 7:45 am to 5 pm. (No evenings or weekends) We are a well established Private Practice (No Corporate Ownership) that has been providing high quality, gentle dentistry in a warm welcoming environment for over 25 years!
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
- Conduct patient assessments and screenings to identify oral health conditions
- Take digital dental x-rays
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions
- Maintain operatory, including stocking supplies and sterilization of instruments
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Comply with all OSHA and Hipaa standards
- application of fluoride varnished
- Be able to administer local anesthetic infiltration for deep scaling
- have excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic technique
- Experience with Eaglesoft would be an asset
