Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care! In this energetic role, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on oral health, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your expertise will help foster healthy smiles and positive patient experiences in a friendly, professional environment. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Take and evaluate vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to assess patient health status Assist the dentist during various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure smooth workflow Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and documenting findings accurately in electronic medical record (EMR) Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term dental health Capture and interpret dental radiographs (medical imaging) while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques Review medical records and documentation for accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and proper medical coding standards Requirements Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice in a clinical setting Proven experience in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or dental clinic environments with proficiency in dental terminology and procedures Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation review and record keeping Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care and communication skills Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred; knowledge of pediatric dentistry is a plus Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and safeguarding patient confidentiality at all times Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly impact patients' lives!
