In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional patient care by performing professional dental cleanings, assessments, and preventive treatments. Your expertise will help promote optimal oral health while ensuring a positive and comfortable experience for every patient. As a key member of our practice, you will utilize your skills in dental terminology, infection control, and patient education to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews. Take imaging such as X-rays while adhering to safety protocols. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment plans. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support infection control protocols by practicing aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures. Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure smooth clinic operations and excellent patient care. Manage EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation accuracy. Monitor patient progress, review medical coding details, and update records accordingly. Qualifications Valid Dental Hygiene license with current state licensure. Proven experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and medical terminology. Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care. Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical records management standards.
